When the Nisqually earthquake damaged the historic Washington State Legislative Building in 2001, rapid stabilization efforts were critical, and a goal was established to reopen the building in time for the 2005 legislative session. ¾º²Ê×ãÇòapp coordinated the move-out of the entire building, which included complete documentation of the building conditions for historical purposes and hazardous materials abatement. ¾º²Ê×ãÇòapp then completed significant seismic upgrades to the structure and installed new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, communications, and data systems. Historical materials throughout the building were cleaned and repaired. A disruption avoidance plan allowed for continued operations of the campus throughout construction.
